This is the first stage of my designing process for my music magazine front cover. The font I have chosen for the masthead looks young and groovy and also quite girly which will appeal to my target audience. I have chosen pink, blue and purple for my colour scheme as when I looked back over my questionnaire this was the option that was liked the most so I have incorporated this into my magazine.
I have moved the coverline that was on the first design and used it as strapline instead as part of my research was to look at other music magazines and I noticed that a lot of them include a strapline. I have also added a background to my masthead and filled it with colour- the same colours that are incorporated in my colour scheme. Instead of having just a plain block of colour I added a grain effect to make it look more appealing. Also looking at other music magazines I noticed that the majority of them don't use block colours.
I have now added a barcode to make the magazine look more realistic.
I have now added the last coverline and all I need to do now is to add my central image and then my front cover will be complete.
I have now added my image and now my front cover is complete. The price has a white box around it to emphasise what a bargain the audience is getting.
